About

The team at Impact Ascents shares a true passion for adventure and mountaineering that is kinder to the environment and to the people living in remote mountain communities.

We have travelled the world and seen expedition companies that prioritise profits and summits rather than the positive impact they can have for others.

That’s not how we want to be.

At the heart of Impact Ascents lies a determination to make a positive difference with each and every trip. We call it our YES approach – and we aim to invest in Youth, Education and Sustainability as part of our business ethos.

That’s the tradition of great mountaineering and exploration that we want to shape our future.

Expeditions

There are traditional mountaineering seasons in expedition areas for good reason – you want the best chances of good weather. That might be South America in December and January or Pakistan in our UK summer months. Get in touch to find out more about our plans or to discuss a bespoke trip. Get in touch

Ethos in action

As well as sustainable best practice, Impact Ascents also invests in the training and education of our porters, drivers and cooks wherever we’re travelling. We work with them to minimise our impact, avoid animal exploitation and cruelty and build skills and awareness. Read more

Client feedback

  • “I have wanted to see Everest for 40 years. Never been brave enough to climb it but was left in awe of all the bravery of the climbers that the mountain has demanded. I came upon Impact Ascents mainly because of the credentials of Pete Brittleton. It turned out on my trip that he was a very competent and well connected guide. He was a safe, dependable but quiet force that guided 7 inexperienced women to reach our goal of EBC through extreme weather and unexpected delays…..but I never doubted that Pete would guide us to our goal. And he did. Life changing and immense.Thank – you Pete and Impact Ascents”
