Without a doubt this was one of the best experiences of my life, life changing one. Challenging mentally and physically, jaw dropping breath-taking scenery, discovering Pakistani culture, sleeping under the starts for so many days, walking over a glaciar, crossing the freaking challenging pass in the middle of the night, hearing endless mountaineering stories … Trekking in Pakistan is the real deal. And Impact Ascents did it perfectly, everything was very well organized, we were really taken care of but also pushed to our limits hahaha, food was amazing and the team was just perfect, amazing humans ! Would absolutely recommend Impact Ascents and Pete, he is just all you need to have the best time on the mountains 🙂

I have just returned from a trek to northern Pakistan & the Karakoram; this is an absolutely incredible experience both from the landscape and cultural point of view. It was always one of those trips that was high on my ‘bucket-list’ and it did not disappoint in any way. It was challenging and very rewarding at the same time and I will be fondly reflecting on it for a long long time!
The trip really is enhanced by having Pete along to provide his navigation through the cultural differences, which are gained by more than 10years of visits to the area. I found it so interesting and useful to be able to get his insight into what it takes to climb the very biggest peaks in the range. It was also so so interesting to listen-in to his conversations with fellow climbers all along the route of the trek.
Pete really did look out for us all along the trek & was continually checking on (without being annoying!) how we were feeling; how hungry & thirsty we were; pointing-out interesting landmarks & facts & generally making-sure we were able to make the most of our experience. I can honestly say that following this trip i don’t think I would consider using another tour operator. These trips can cost a significant amount of money & to get the very most out of them you need to have someone in-charge that really cares that you have the best possible experience & I believe Pete Brittleton is one of those kind of people.

You’ll struggle to find a better, more accommodating, patient and supportive team. If Impact ascents did larger, well you know the advert! It would probably be the best in the world.
