Overview

Our 23-day Aconcagua expedition via the Horcones Route is designed for those looking to complete one of the renowned Seven Summits in a cost-effective and straightforward manner. Aconcagua, known as “The Stone Sentinel” in the native Quechua language, offers stupendous 360° views from the summit, making every step of the ascent worthwhile.

Starting in Mendoza, we take care of permit formalities before driving to Penitentes. From there, we trek through the scenic Horcones Valley, gradually acclimatizing as we make our way to the base camp at Plaza de Mulas. The journey to the summit includes traversing snow and ice fields, tackling the challenging Canaletta gully, and reaching the historic Independencia hut.

Impact Ascents allows extra days within the itinerary to account for unpredictable weather, ensuring the best possible chance of a successful summit bid. Our expert guides, equipped with years of experience, prioritize your safety and success, making this journey both challenging and immensely rewarding.
