Overview

Our Lhotse expedition is designed for seasoned climbers ready to tackle one of the most formidable mountains on Earth. Standing at 8,516 meters, Lhotse’s dramatic south face rises a near-vertical 3,200 meters from the glacier below, presenting significant challenges and rewarding those who dare with unparalleled vistas. This 52-day journey includes comprehensive acclimatization, extensive climbing periods, and a meticulously planned itinerary that ensures a safe and successful summit attempt. Starting from the bustling streets of Kathmandu, you will trek through the iconic Everest Base Camp route, ascend the Khumbu Icefall, and navigate the Western Cwm before making your final ascent to the summit via the Lhotse Face.

Full details

The Lhotse expedition is not just about reaching the summit; it’s about the entire journey. From the moment you arrive in Kathmandu, our team will ensure you are well-prepared and supported. You’ll stay in deluxe hotels, enjoy guided tours of Kathmandu’s cultural sites, and partake in detailed briefings and gear checks. The trek to Base Camp is an adventure in itself, passing through Sherpa villages, lush forests, and high-altitude landscapes.

Once at Base Camp, the real challenge begins. Our expert Sherpa guides, who have extensive experience on Lhotse and other 8000-meter peaks, will lead you through the Khumbu Icefall and up to higher camps. The ascent of Lhotse requires technical climbing skills, particularly on the steep and icy Lhotse Face. However, with a 1:1 Sherpa-to-climber ratio and additional support on summit day, you can climb with confidence. The climb is physically demanding, but the sense of achievement and the panoramic views from the summit make it all worthwhile.
