Full details

Our 18-day Island Peak expedition is meticulously crafted for advance beginners and intermediate climbers seeking to tackle a challenging glacier. Island Peak, famously used by Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay for Everest training, offers an ideal introduction to Himalayan climbing. You’ll journey through picturesque Sherpa villages, experience their unique hospitality, and witness stunning Buddhist monasteries.

Starting in Kathmandu, you’ll trek along the iconic Everest Base Camp trail, progressively acclimatising to the high altitudes. The route provides spectacular views, culminating in a thrilling summit day that includes a rock scramble, glacier traverse, and a final ascent up a steep snow headwall to the summit ridge.
